G.L.O.B.E. class for Spring 2016 announced: "Green Technologies: What will it take?"

The G.L.O.B.E. Consortium is pleased to announce our next course offering, a Spring 2016 after-school class for 10-12th grade students called "Green Technologies: What will it take?" This interdisciplinary college seminar-style course will introduce students to Green Technology concepts and challenges, through scientific, economic and political lenses. We are funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation to promote K12 STEM education in the field of environmental technology, and will be meeting at the MIT Campus in Cambridge.

We are excited to announce the orientation session for our Global Studies Course will take place this Friday, April 5th, from 6-8pm at Harvard.

Consortium schools for 2013-2014 finalized

Congratulations to the four high schools who will make up the Consortium for this cycle!  They are:

Arlington High School
Boston Latin School
Charlestown High School
Watertown High School

Each school will create an application process that will result in them sending five students to the course, as well as identify alternates.  Each school also has an appointed liaison/coordinator who will communicate with the G.L.O.B.E. coordinators.

This on top of the good news that we have secured our Boston Foundation Curtis Grant to fund our operations next year!
